I could have danced all night
But had to leave at twelve.
Good thing, too, because my feet
Are killing me.
My fairy godmother
Must be the Prada-wearing Devil,
To give me torture-wear like these
Blasted glass slippsers!
I can't get the other one off
Fast enough.
But, despite all that,
I do sincerely regret
Losing the awesome dress.
It rippled like water
As I fled the castle steps.
Ah, well--It was a nice dream.
Nothing will come of it, of course.

I've always thought that the fairy god mother must have been a bit of a witch myself, I mean come on! Heels are bad enough, at what point did she think, "Know what? Let's make them glass." Plus, add to that dancing in them? Must be some thick glass - oh and how your feet would sweat! .... opps I'm rambling... opps. Anyways good luck and thanks for entering!

Lovely. Humor and some gorgeous imagery in this piece. And such a resigned pessimistic ending! whew. tons of good clear emotion in this. Thank you for entering and good luck!

Funny!
Nice work. I can almost see Cinderella thinking this. -

Heh...These are the details that the brothers Grimm left out. (g) Though I don't think they had Prada back then...
