Down along the coast line
Counting foot prints in the sand
They lead in to the distance
Across the autumn land
I tried to break for freedom
To follow all my dreams
But I was caught up in the fineprint
Going through the old routines
Because the only good that can come
Is to leave this world behind
And make a break to new worlds out of time
Like Autumn leaves upon the wind
We're blown like clouds up in the sky
With no idea where we're heading
Or any reason why
We ride upon the currents
Even through the driving rain
Will we ever make it there
Or make it home again
There are echoes that remind us
Of the life we use to know
I can't say for certain
Which way the wind may blow
We could head into the sunset
Or be lost at sea
Wherever your dreams may lead you
Is where you're meant to be
And if we tried to impress the world
How little would we know
Searching for gems among the pearls
Like Autumn leaves upon the wind

Oh this was such a lovely poem. Great rhyme scheme and repitition of the stanza
