In the quiet moments of dawn,
I am alone
with your lies
The eyes
that once caressed me tenderly
now flash in angered
defiance to hide the truth
The trust has evaporated
like so much dirty snow
caked against the sidewalk
Even when you are here,
I am lonely
for your heart no longer beats for me only
and your hands
have danced over another's skin
in both friendship and intimacy
When you said forever,
you must have meant
until now.

Brilliance
This is brilliance at its highest form.Of the twenty entries submitted so far, this is my stand out favourite. The wording, tone, layout, back ground, every part of this works so wonderfully well. This was a true pleasure to read,a true inviting piece of poetic bliss. Well done on you,for being anle to wrote so powerfully and so uniquely. 10/10,no I must correct my self 100/10,thats how fantastic this is. -
