Just sit in the darkness and pray
Go outside and you'll see it
No need to wait for tomorrow
The sun
Piercing rays over the eastern horizon
Smell the freshness of a new day
Just wait until the dawn
No need to wait, it's here
Tomorrow, it will be here too
But why wait?
The sun will come out

A newie... haven't written in a while... Its 6:14 where I am and the sun has just come up... I was thinkin about the musical annie... It was a beautiful sunrise. Thank the Lord!

    I really like this poem a lot. The sun when it comes up maks us happier and this poem is a great way to say it.

    this is a gorgeous piece, sorry its taken me so long to drop by! but im so glad i have cos i love this...i can see the annie influence lol but i think this is a very original piece, very uplifting too, made me smile as i read it and appreciate the day i have today, instead of hoping for tomorrow. thanks for sharing, this was a great write@!
