Missionaries of a future creed
Swim in the fountain of youth;
A golden youth
Where smiles outshine the sun
And laughter deafens the storm.
The tide rolls in their direction
Wisdom is in their yellow threads
"Unison is wealth
Wealth is unison."
In a parliament of sorcerors
They worship a blue and yellow pot
In which all of history;
History of mountains and seas,
Is being melded into one stream
A stream of monotheism
A stream of mono-culturalism.
The moonlight drives away the pigeons
Strolling through the square
Now Roman bells walk through silence
Byzantine figures sing upon
The Greek fountains
And the angels of Pretti
Seek shelter
From the skyline of summer.
"All this brings hatred:
(These are the teachings of the Constitutional Bible)
To be different is to offend
For to be proud of oneself
Is to offend those who share a different noise.
Unison is wealth
Wealth is unison."
This faith of the occult,
Born-again Imperialsim
Has found fertile soil
In a hunger for wealth
That subdues history
Under one banner.
Slowly the seeds are growing
Stronger and stronger
Whilst the beheaded saints
Of Caravaggio cower in a darkness
Not of their own
But a new darkness that seeks to silence
Their eternal sigh.
