The Bay

The sun kisses the ocean
Scattered in diamonds glittering
The glare is reflected in your eyes
And you give me a knowing smile.
Your tongue traces your lips
Salty from the rough liquid fire
that engulfs us.
The sound of rushing thunder
deters us not
As the heavens are brought down
In liquid and weathered rock.
Your hand is on my shoulder blade,
pulling me closer...
Closer
Until our lips
Touch.

nice imagry ... there is a sense of motion here and a subtle tone to this poem which is very sensual and romantic ... your first three lines are fantastic ...
