untitled

She wake up me with a Kiss
when the flowers in the patch
are still fresh and wet.
She said with a low voice
luring me to sleep again:
“I will go with the sun
and never more return.
But I will take with me
all the memories of our affair
locked inside a wooden chest.
I will find a isolated island
with white sand and a coconut pair
and dig a bottomless hole
keeping the chest from your prying eyes.”
She thought she was free –
Yet she failed when she cast her spell
because while sleeping I was aware
holding my memories with me
fresh as the new born bobolink
leaving when the winter arrives.
