Dance of Romance

Glinting blades, spinning,
whirling, fast-paced heartbeat.
A dance of pain and heartache.

Match my pace, my love.
Watch my feet, follow their beat.
Move with me, move with me.
Keep it up; I'm movin' quick.
Can you stay up in this dance?

Silver-laced eyes of feigned concern,
Hopeful, hateful, hurtful.
Know this, my lovely,
I can't do this forever.

Match my pace, my lover.
Watch my feet, follow their beat.
Move with me, stay with me.
Keep it up; I'm movin' quick.
Can you stay put in this dance?

Torn asunder, bloody romance.
Never thought it'd come to this.
A whirlwind of emotion;
Blocked out.

Match my pace, my companion.
Watch my feet, follow their beat.
Move with me, stay nearby.
Keep it up; I'm movin' quick.
Can you hold your place in this dance?

Treasured memories;
Shattered mirrors and broken bones.
I didn't think it'd work.
But we danced this dance.

And fell.

    Beautifully written

    A wonderful piece of work, as usual, darling. Of course, it hits me hard because I know what it's about, and I see the deeper meaning behind it, but it's still beautifully written.
    Though emotions usually blind me in works such as these, I am actually not feeling too many bad ones. xD So, that's good. Hahaha.

    I like the way the story progresses. How the mood changes. Would defintely go well in Masquerade for the Violently Fallen CD Ryan and I are working on. xD Hehe.

    I liked this a lot. The way you described/expressed it were unique...the metaphor was clever, too. The repetition worked well.
    I'm glad you are happier now!

    This is beautiful, BW. I'm so sorry for your loss. You were able to express it so exquisitely though.
