Rolling pages
words circling in my mind
trying to find my voice
to put my thoughts down on paper
unsure of what I write
not knowing the response
I try so hard to find the muse
but lately it has left me
nothing seems to help me along
maybe some time away will help
maybe my friends have some ways
to show me what this pen
is supposed to do...
Rolling pages
words circling in my mind
but nothing to form
a brilliant poem...
I am empty and drained
perhaps I need to slow down
perhaps I should focus on me
and then my pen will start
to flow again!
Author notes
I am uninspired maybe one of my many friends here can help me write again
Please tell me what you think

I am struggling with "Writer's Junk" right now. I finish something or work on something and read it back to myself only to say, "Man, I know I can write better than this?" Perhaps I'm uninspired or just have nothing important to say at this moment. The strange thing is that this is the first time I have ever tried to write when it just won't cooperate at all. I feel for you because I know the feeling my dear. Be well and it will pass I assure you. RC

I agree with your last stanza darling, take a breath and focus on you cause you are hella important and need to think about yourself

Stay safe
Love to you

Writer's Block?
It's terrible. I recommend dreaming. Listening to music at bedtime..drifting as a song plays...brings me to a dream state. But once dreaming...the trick (for me) was waking up and writing down what my mind was working on.
It cured it after one week, twenty poems, and I write to music now always.
Good luck. -
dont sweat the small stuff...wanting to write and feeling you need to write is not the same as inspired to write or urge to write...there is nothing wrong with you...we all have something to say...we just dont feel the moment is right to write...this to me is muse on the blink...when you are ready...the words will flow
and just think...you wrote a lovely poem...on how you wish to write....and here it is....no matter what....
just breathe

Tessa,
I know those feelings only too well hon! I feel like that some days
I think we all do. I love how you did this..
Sometimes when I am going through this, I pick up the dictionary and start with the letter "A" and just start putting words down, and sometimes actually turn out something, look through the freewrites to if something there will spark an idea, or just sit and read until something sparks my muse.
But anyways, those are just food for thought.
Ek is lief vir jou altyd
Nyetta
