The Time Draws Near
So the end has come
And the time draws near,
I wish it wasn't so
But have no say
So please remember me
For the good I've done
The deeds I've shared
And let go of the hate
Rooted in my past discretions
To give way to love
And embrace the person
Beneath layers of imperfection
Studded with flaws,
For that person is me
The me I wished to be,
So abandon your grudge
Based upon the shell of my actions
Look deep into my soul
And see the man
Who despairs for hope,
For my existence
Has met its finish
And the night's become colder
Drifting away from the world
My life is over

Thank you for entering. Well done using 1i for inspiration. Just enough to see it but not enough to be too close. And all 5 words from the wordbank are here but not in a rhythm, I like that. As for the poem itself, it is well written, no obvious rhyme scheme but certain lines tie to eachother in how they flow. Very good, thank you!
