We dispersed like confetti,
lost ourselves in Hollywood,
& came back the same, rusted fragments
that turned our mouths bronze
just from speaking.
Collapsed inward,
soaking up the light like [dehydrated] sponges
& breathed in the mildew
spawned on our emaciated originality
& anorexic dreams.
But [dollface,f(r)iend],
I would rather binge
on my own imperfection
& purge the glamour from my brain;
garrating the trenches of my own war...
because your liquor never gave me that *p*e*r*f*e*c*t* buzz.
Grave & bruised,
we chipped our fingernails on the trigger
with sugar on our tongues
& acid on our lips,
collided with our own pollution
& came to rest at our ((identical)) burial sites.
*I* wanted to find the strength
in chaos,
but was dragged along
on tippy toes
to vomit up a world of dysfunction & greed.
[This was always my favorite part of the shadows...]
But *OUR* form of art
was always a little more brutal that that.
& instead of becoming the Queen of Mimicry;
I faced the mangled remains of my reflection
& realized that this kind of tragedy just isn't my scene.

not too proud of this one, feel free to DQ it if you want.
i've just gotten to this point in my life where i'm learning to stand alone on my own two feet instead of depending on others to walk me through things & i'm sort of using that to work with in this piece.
I dunno... things are getting a little hard to manage lately & i'm trying to teach myself how to do that without going ballistic.
