You never know what’s round the corner,
Of each road we pass along,
I will try to put it down my friend,
in the words of this song.
I knew the answer lie,
in the depths within my soul,
I had to reach with all my strength,
to find that special goal,
The answers started coming,
I was bewildered and bemused,
For I found the place that I came from,
a place I never knew.
I am a child of the dreamtime,
a spirit running free,
All my life I didn’t know,
just what was calling me,
44 years have past me by,
and little did I know,
I have a new beginning,
and a long way still to go,
My mum was just a baby,
her father died when she was 5.
Perhaps she would know more of things,
had he been alive,
to tell her of his family,
where they all come from,
And to tell her of the dreamtime,
of which she does belong,
A new chapter lies before me,
a chapter I embrace,
As I learn the struggles and the obstacles,
that my family had to face,
I feel proud and honoured,
and are feeling many things.
I embrace my journey fully,
and look forward to what it brings.
You never know what’s round the corner,
Of each road we pass along,
I will try and put it down my friend..
This is the beginning of my song….

this is good. i really like how you've linked in the end and the beginning, giving it that cyclic structure. you're voice in this piece is really powerful too. thank you for entering.
