healer, heal her.

its coming round, this time
i'm prepared for the beating
sit around with my bright, clean smile
to welcome you back

shivering creature, you follow him
with open arms and eager eyes
follow the little boy down the street
to find the truth you knew

he's just as lost as you.

i turn the music high
to break the feeling i get so..
so very often. deny me one time, or another.
you've been such a bother.

but i could never
hate my darling sister.

in a glass case crying for
injury you bring upon yourself
if i could embrace you, take you away
and cocoon you in myself, i would.

anything to make you better.

but my interruptions only seem
to aggravate you further.
so i'll wait a time or two, as i always do
wait for the beating, and hold you tight.

and these wounds will heal.

Author notes

Prompt: I'm the type of girl...that turns up the music way loud, just to tune out reality

this deals with a friend i view as a sister.

it deals with my friend who's having problems lately, and i don't know how to help her. i find it frustrating, but music always helps clear my mind and decide what to do.
