im the type of girl that turns the music up way loud
to tune out reality and the noise of the crowd
people watching me from too many directions
let my invisible eraser out to wipe away the corrections
so many imperfections in this world today

i'm the type of girl that turns the music up way loud
closing her eyes to the rhythm to tune reality out
my legs begin to wiggle and my arms begin to move
next thing i know there's dancing in my shoes
and the world begins to fade away

i'm the type of girl that turns the music way up loud
drifting in fantasy of a day when mommy was around
she'd hold me in her arms and tell me it all will be ok
she'd shelter me forever from all life's bad way
and in my reality she's here with me

i'm the kinda girl who turns the mucic way down low
when the house is dark and empty to let reality flow
the candles dance to silence on a balerina's toe
moments of laughter as my intution begins to know
that insanity has crept upon to stay

there's a reason why we say we hide
because no one seems to understand
logic and reason just blow it away

    This is great

    I hear you on the musuc for when Im alone and cant get things to stop running through my mind I do the same thing . I like it so loud it vibrates my body with the beat .

    Yes I have gone through that stage myself often when I was felling very down and left behind . This loud music I feel the vibrations to make me feel the heart within is still beating in rhythm

    This set the tempo up for an ending: i'm the type of girl that turns the music way up loud
    drifting in fantasy of a day when mommy was around
    she'd hold me in her arms and tell me it all will be ok
    she'd shelter me forever from all life's bad way
    and in my reality she's here with me

    So the repeating of the first line really didn't distract me from reading it in it's natural flow.
