Had I but been the perfect man
with no questions to address
I could have left no questions asked
no sins would I confess.
But as it is, of flesh and bone
that is of what I am made
Perhaps I can be absolved
maybe hell can be delayed.
For I am a man of flesh and blood
born with the stains of sin
The spirit strong, the flesh is weak
and cries out from within.
Remember this above all else
when I've returned to dust.
we all of us are born to err
recall not with disgust.

What a wonderful write. You make it clear that you are not perfect and that you judge no man, and you only ask the same from your brothers and sisters. Your deepest desire is to be remembered, but not the sin. Very well written. I love your border as well. Good luck in the contest.
