Penned words give simple pleasures

Watching the pen glide softly across the page
Another little word that will make somebodys day
Isn't it strang what these little things can give
Penned words give simple pleasures
Learning about yester years

What joy the blank page holds before us
If we have a pen to mark it with
The words flow like the ocean
We write and people will read
Watching the pen glide across the page
I wonder who these words will touch

For penned words give simple pleasures
To those who take the time
To look into the writing
And understand what was on the writers mind.

I like the concept here! Very unique and beautifully potrayed!! There are some spelling errors here and there that are distracting!! Besides, try not to capitalize every line..its also distracting! Otherwise, I agree with your work. There is nothing like writing your thoughts.

Thanks for entering and good luck!!

to capture a moment in pigments of imagination spreading in inky blues across a page,

to bind and treasure these snippets of time, to share your emotions outpouring with others, to stand in a crowded cafe, and stir the souls who stir the lattes with ponderings that make them want to express change as well, beyond the silver in their pockets and purses. To be a poet is to be a chapter in the voices of mankind, crying out in your appointed slot of time granted. We are gifted with wordsmithing and we must make each one count, in this time of chaos that encompasses us. There are causes to be fought, dreams to broaden, and hopes to handfeed to the starving masses. All dispersed in the tiny tube of a bic pen, or in the three-inch plastic box of an inkjet not yet flown. Write on,~Artis

Still more satisfying than the Internet! But, even though you write is on the Internet, it's a good one.
