As daylight fades twilight hues abound
earth's heartbeat quiets there is no sound,
except wheels that turn in rhythmic beat
heading for home, the day complete.
This road is heading straight and true
with clip clop of those horses shoes,
they know the way, don't need a guide
each day along this path they stride.
A picture perfect end of day
as old and new both show the way
and throughout time the sun will sleep
as moon along horizon creeps.
Time marches on and nature moves
in perpetual movement will it prove
that come what may day starts and ends
a constant that all on earth depend.
