while i walk around wearing this marble mask
my insides decay
my feelings once pure
fade away
nothing is sacred
nothing left to treasure
this is my forever
alone in this world of apathy
I hate sympathy
drowning in these invisible tears
shattering my heart of clay
let this anger fester
burn this pain away
here i walk half stone half human
praying for answers
yet turning a blind eye
ignoring what you say
i hate this half life
living not to be who i am
but a statue of who I was
a mask in place to hide my true face
while i wear this marble mask
my insides decay
my heart fades away
into nothingness
as I try to forget about us
and make it through another day
