Are you out there superman?
I’m crying out for you
I need a figure of hope
Because I don’t know how to cope
With such sadness and hate
Superman, can you hear me?
I know you’re not real
But the world needs a hero
Because of the crime we bestow
With such an unfortunate fate
I need someone faster than me
Someone faster than a speeding bullet
Are flying somewhere superman?
I’m crying for a lift away from this life
I need someone to stand for justice and truth
Because I need help with my troubled youth
With such cruelty and despair
Superman, are you saving someone right now?
I know you’re in my imagination
But people need someone to show us the way
Because we have no example of goodness today
With such fears and scares
I need someone more powerful than me
Someone more powerful than a locomotive
Where are you superman?
I’m crying for someone who will find me
I need you, the one who is never corrupt
Because I know you will never give up
With a fight against such helplessness
Superman, why can’t I be just like you?
I know you’re just fiction
But I need your loving dedication
Because I’m in such deep desperation
With such a world in this mess
I need someone who can leap higher than me
Someone who can leap over tall buildings in a single bound
Will you become a real live superman?
I’m crying for people to be like you
I need someone who can fly
Because I know people can look to the sky
With such admiration to your uplifting mentality
Superman, can I live up to your example?
I know you’re a made up hero
But can I become like a superman?
Because I know I’m a devoted fan
With such pride in your morality
I need someone who will stand for truth and justice
I need a superman

I've always been a fan of comic books. I've always been a fan of superman. So in a world that seems so lost, I think "what if he were real?"

Very creative way to express yourself- I think everyone can relate to at least one superhero. Turning fiction to reality is a beautiful thing to do. Thank you for your entry.
