Take Me Away

Chorus: Take me away to paradise or my world will end.
Just one kiss should do it.
Come on, let’s get to it.
Take me away.

Hey! This is the story, yessiree,
The story of a girl named, Annalee.
She was beautiful, and amazingly smart.
But her only true love didn’t love her,
He only loved art.
How heart breaking it was,
To see the sad look in her eyes.
Then came a man,
Oh so wise.
He said go up to that boy, and say

Chorus

So that’s what she did,
And now they have a kid,
Oh so cute!
Watching him run around,
Can turn any frown upside down.
Especially when he plays his flute!
And it’s all because,
She took the advice.
She went up to that boy,
And said

Chorus

So if you’ve got someone you love,
Who doesn’t love you back.
Follow my advice.
Go up to that boy,
Look him in the eye.
You may be surprised,
What can happen,
If only you say what’s on your mind.
Go up to that boy, and say

Chorus

Take me away. Oh.
Take me away, yeah
Take me away to paradise, oh
Take me away,
Take me away.

Thank you for entering my "Celebrating Poetry and Poets" competition. However, you seem to have misunderstood the purpose of it. For your poem makes no mention of either poetry or poets! Maybe the speaker in this poem is intended to represent a poet or to be addressing a poet- but this is not explicitly stated in the text itself, and it is on the basis of the text itself that a competition judge must decide. Sorry - but for this competition your entry has to be considered a "non-starter". But I wish you luck with it elsewhere!
