To America born.

Her years are told

by the colour of her hair

accustomed to work

her hands can bare.

But this native woman

her land she knows

with natures medicine

and plants she sows.

Wise in wisdom

to America born

tell me this

who are we to scorn?

Her right of freedom

we took away

when greed and wealth

came to stay.
