And there the river flows with yearn
in longing want to slow and still,
bound forever upon these shores
never to return. And it lays
among those fallen leaves (as hopes),
which drift along these crests
of quiet folds and endless waves
clasped yet on in veiled unrest, ~which
now sublime…are gone.~ A slivered
mass which seeps this life, ever, ever,
away. As darkness dawns along the
way, of stars and light that cannot be,
I watch this stream ripple forth
Lain across this lifeless sea;
Hopeful that it may return…
~but no, it is, forever gone~
