So he smiled in sickened surrender
With fangs fully bared, sitting tasting the air
As embers drifted up from streets below
He couldn’t help but laugh all the while
Forcing breath between the gaps in the ivory
Having been bitten by the black moon’s lust
The fevered madness that comes to those in need
From his skull to his tail twitching in fallen glee
“Let it end in fire, like hell! Let it burn…”
Sitting on a fire escape, having succumbed to himself
To sit here in the blackest of all joys, licking soot stained lips
As the city did burn.

"cherry Pie" was it? Anyways this was originally Bitten - Kelley Armstrong
but then kind of went to
Fire and Ice
I saw a natural progression between the two

Oh dear
12 lines when minimum of 18 were specified. 102 words instead of minimum of 120!
Interesting poem.
You have one period, yet you really have 3 or 4 sentences.
Thank you for entering but do read what is specified.
Lyndon of the Winklings.
