So petite and carefree
SO loving and giving
and developing within me
Although im young and immature
I'm here to love and reassure
I'm here to give you mother's love
I'm here my innocent, my budding dove
Whether a boy or a girl,
whether straight or a curl,
Black, brunnette, red-head or blonde,
That's materialistic; I look beyond
Whether blue or brown eyes
whether tan or pale skinned
whether fat or thin
All that matters is within
Made out of love
And that you'll always be
I can't wait till your here
My blossoming orange tree
Author notes
hehe.. no its not an actual orange tree..
me and dominic were talking about how i thought i might be pregnant and i said "imagine, a little orange tree," cause we were infront of my parents and i didn't want them knowing just yet!
we have a lot of code words for things...!"
When i was a kid I thought when you ate a seed from an orange it would grow into an orange tree.. so thats where it came from lol..

I've changed the style in this poem, do you think it works?

Very Cool
Haha, I love the story behind the "orange tree" very cute. Line 10 felt a little awkward, it might be better as 'whether straight or with a curl'. Other than that this was an awesome poem. It left me with a smile on my face. : ) -

I like the line about whether straight or a curl, it seems so accepting, my flatmates are all trying to work out how to make their boy babies queer, I keep telling them that it doesn't work that way but they are set on their task.
But I like the new style, it is like a new phase of your life so it makes sense that the style would change to fit, it seems softer which fits with the baby thing. I would show this your kid when they are old enough to understand, imagine growing up with your parents writing poetry about you and for you, that would be so cool! -

are you really talking about a orange tree that you have or that one u want. cause if you want orange is a very tangy fruit.. something different than the rest of the fruits category... a fun type.
