Ripe

i am most absorbent today
soaking up my company
i am a sponge for dialect
reflected gesture
slips of the tongue
and awkward moments
have kept with me all day.
i feel people stare,
just for a moment,
at something dubious
something i cannot quite
put my finger on....
this causes
vague feelings of doubt
which plague happiness
yet
i have this momentum
a prow
which bursts over them
like i am cresting waves

fate may be fleeing with me
despite
and time burgeoning ripe.

    I wonder at this, can't find anything to connect to. This must be a feminine perspective; aware and sensitive to those around you...

    I don't care for the title. Ripe, is a term we use for someone in desparate need of a shower and soap. That image overwhelmed (too strong) distracted me from the piece. On the title, maybe Senicience? Intuition?
