Rain

Ahh,the rain,
The cool and wet.
Sends little rivers of diamond gloss,
Fresh from the heavens.
To out stretched hands and dusty skin,
To calm the cracked earth.
and comfort the thirsty greens,
To pool and stay around for a day or so.
then ever so slowly go with grace,
Disappear drop by drop to return.
To the vast expanse of sky,
And fall again some other day.
Unexpected,
But welcome.

I love the rain!!

Refreshing description of the rain cycle. Your use of imagery is great here. "Sends little rivers of diamond gloss" is a line that stands out for me. One tiny nitpick: you misspelled "disappear" in the tenth line. Other than that, it's a very solid write.
