Between the walls of my heart.
there lies a secret garden.
Flower petals embroidered with
your name and yet nothing here
will ever be quite the same.
I miss you, so many moments in
time pass by when I seek you out.
Only to be left wandering aimlessly
about. In search of ways to fill the
emptiness left behind by you. This
secret garden now tended by loneliness
rather than the hours upon hours of
your company, your guidance, the mere
worthiness of your presence. No one, in
all of the world compares to who you
were. They are merely acquaintances.
You were the rose that bloomed in
secret gardens extraordinaire. Though
years have past since we saw one another
last. It's hurts sometimes, more today
then it did that day. That day the
first seed sprouted and then began
to bloom in the keeper's secret
garden of gloom.

I'm sorry for your loss and hopefully knowing you are not alone will help. I wrote this for my dearest friend who lost her battle with breast cancer in 96. I still miss her today.
