Alone

I am only human
Fear is natural
As natural as love
As natural as hunger
As natural as crying

But humans are special
They have fears,
Fears that are irrational

For me
I have several irrational fears
But atlast,
What I fear
More than anything
More than death
Is to be alone

I fear being hated
I fear being rejected
I fear not being perfect

Everday I make new friends
Hoping that I'll always have one
So that I won't be alone

So what do you have to say to that?

Yes it's irrational

Nobody's ever alone

But there's always a first

And it could be me

As a human

What do I fear the most?

I fear to be

Alone

So easy to relate to! Regardless of whether this is intentional or not, I find it ironic that you wrote such a relatable poem (that a lot of people would like) about this fear ;-)

This is completely relatable and very hard to hear. Humans are and always have been social creatures. We live upon the notice of others. It's very true, and you have stated so,
    "But humans are special
    They have fears,
    Fears that are irrational"

I believe that you caught the fear perfectly in this poem. You transcribe a commonality and turn rumor into realization. Also, the ending was perfect. Cheers and good luck in the contest.
