When I once pet your soft cream fur,
I never thought it would be the last time.
When you gave kisses with your wet chocolate nose,
I never did fully appreciate your love.
When I held you in my lap while tears ran down my eyes,
I never thought that your love may leave me.
When you patiently reconciled my sorrow,
I never dreamed of the day you would be gone.
As we take our separate ways,
Torn apart and never to be together,
May you, your sister and children bring love,
Avoid demise in an uncertain world,
And bring comfort to a troubled soul,
Whether it be on earth or Heaven.

This is sort of a goodbye poem. My mom, against my wishes, gave up my three cats to the pound, when she knew I loved them a lot. I keep on thinking that they will be euthanized, which is horrible since they are so nice and kind. My fourth cat was killed by a car today and it was a horrible sight.
I can't stop crying.
It is all my stupid dog's fault.
