Princess Diana

Missing image
Born in purity, from a family of wealth
A young girl came with a message to man
She dearly loved children
And the love that she shared
Was recognised by many
As her heart she bared

A prince did spy this beautiful girl
And took her to wife and to mother his heir
A Princess she became
And a legend to many
As she learned the ropes
Of her royal duty

She graciously stepped into the shoes she did wear
And took up her tasks with love and with care
She bore her sons
With great motherly love
And gave them courage
As she taught them to love her marriage became, for her, a great sadness
As it fell away in a torment of badness
But throughout it all
She held her pride
And lived for the people
She refused to hide

She shunted, however, from reporters and their rudeness,
As they tormented her hours with cameras and gossip
A lady of truth,
She spoke her hurt
And tried to live
Her best for earth

She sought so desperately for peace and love
And it came in the form of a young Egyptian dove
She had just begun
To find her peace
And joy at last
Had found her feet

But the peace that she sought was to be short lived
As from the press, and the publicity, she fled
Her heart was bleeding
As she lay dying then
For the two young princes
Her only kin

Her dying words were whispered in secret
And no-one knows but the trusted recipient
As she lifted upwards
In spirit and love
Those that were there
Felt the light from above

And now she is free from the troubles that plagued her
As she rises to heights of light and to freedom
For nothing more
Can harm her now
As the wind blows softly
Her roses will bow

    beautiful

a beautiful tribute to the Queen of Hearts. it makes me sad just thinking about that tragic night she died. and even after 10 years camilla never showed any mercy for her and it makes you think if it was an accident or a plot. but nobody well ever know this tragedy touched everyone far and wide but at least shes at peace and watching over her own flesh and blood as they strive to live in this tainted world.

A very beautiful write and wonderful tribute to a true Lady....Diana will forever remain in my heart because she so wanted to be a mother and to live in peace...
Her dove of peace to my understanding was not at all favorable to the Queen...enough said...
    Many blessings

This is a somewhat rose-tinted view of a girl who was the ultimate gold-digger. She married a freak mainly because she was the only virgin they could find for Charlie. He continued to sleep with his mistress, the ghastly married crocodile Camilla and she embarked on a series of adulterous affairs. I honestly don't see the attraction. Admittedly she was very good looking.

    magnificent

Excellent. I haven't heard anything about Her Royal Highness spoken so well. Princess Diana was nothing short of an inspiration to us all. To this day I believe it was the press who killed her; after all she was fleeing from them when the accident occurred. But at least she's free of her problems now. More so she's left behind a real legacy; particularly for the poor. Thanks for sharing this. I truly loved it.

    Brilliantly written....

An amazing piece, which is well worth the spotlighting.

You have captured the very heart of Diana, and produced an exceptional dedication towards her.

Your words and placement make for a great read, bringing home the reality that this Angel gave to everyone without question, a blessing and sincerity which will be difficult to replace.

An honourable write that will remain a favourite of mine. Perfect image choice too.

    Well done Hazel.

    WONDERFUL!!!

This is one fantastic tribute to the Queen of Hearts!! I so admired what she stood for, and still do! I always enjoyed watching her with those that needed her, with the children, the Aids victims, the Leprosy victims, the land mines... etc.

You did a fantastic job on this tribute!!

I was always amazed at how she could find such courage to continue her fights, will all she was put through, with the paparazzi and such.

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt tribute with us all!
