A trickle of saltwater
A kiss goodbye
A link, a bond, severed forever.
Although the body can never forget
It can however lie and cry
Are you the lier?
For who truly is?
This may stay forever a mystery.
The cheshire cat grin we wore on our faces
I should think our bodies will be happy
When we are shut up in cases.
Remember the days
When you'd come out to play?
Yeah, those were the days,
Those deadly, lovely, happy days.
Can you move on?
Cuz I know I can.
Just follow me and let the song play on.
Love?
I should say so.
Forever?
I should say so.
For what is love, if not for forever?
Can you answer this question?
Of course you can not.
No one can.
It is the deepest of secrets
That no one knows.
I love you.
Is this goodbye?
The end of our lives together?
Author notes
I can't decide if I like this or not.
Please tell me what you think.
But don't ask me who it's about.
It's my business, not yours.

i happen to like it.
i like the simplicity of the words you chose.
if anybody could answer the question "For what is love, if not for forever?"
then the world would be an easier place.
thanks for entering & good luck
