Heart's Sonnet
You
the ink in my well
the quill in my hand,
the simplest muse of lush delight...
guide me on the path of words
rest your soul now~
softly, on the tip of my plume
allow your tears to wash away the dust
of so many years of pain
of so many lifetimes that never knew ease
and be nothing less than my heart's sonnet

this is a truly beautiful word as the power and depth and meaning written within it just has a soft tone within it. well done

Such a beautiful write. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I like the request, the imploring you make of writing implements and your muse with "guide me on the path of words."
The tone changes in the 2nd stanza to a more compassionate, softer one. For these now a have a weighty job to provide gentle rest and cleansing tears as well as being the song of your heart.
I enjoyed this read and hope this is realized for you.

a beautiful portrayal of poetry and how it embodies the human experience of a broken, open heart. thank you.

allow your tears wash away the dust

I almost forgot about sonnets.
Except for some reason I thought sonnets
were different. Like three quatrains and a couplet.
I liked it anyway.
Great job, good luck!

the simplest muse of lush delight...so unbelievably delicious to read/ rest your soul now~
softly, on the tip of my plume where are the words to describe this line? Hun, I don't know where you draw your muse from but man oh man has it found it's rainbow tonight! Loved this piece! Brilliant!
