Wasn't Worth Loosing You

Time just keeps spinning
Rolling out before me
Whether I walk it
Or stay standing still
It doesn’t wait for me

I’m thinking of you
For once in many moons
It’s been a monsoon of change
My life is being rearranged, again

You don’t know me
You once did
But you never understood me
And so you are happy that of me you’re finally rid

And I’m still regretful
Though I don’t feel pain
You are nothing more now than a cracked picture
In a broken frame

But I still think on you
From time to time
Your name still lingers
And the taste of shame
The feel of you at the end of my fingers
But there is nothing left in the rain

I still care
As I aught to
And I know now
That all my anger
Wasn’t worth loosing you

Author notes

Life lessons are hard in learning.

This is about someone. The song 'she hates me' applies. I don't blame her.
Since, she has long left me in the dust. I've long walked away.

Doesn't mean she doesn't cross my mind every now and then as I move about my life, along with the regret.

A moment of anger was not worth loosing one of the only people that ever truly knew me.

I understand that now.

Wish I could have had that lesson without the loss. But it's just the way it is.
You crash, you burn. You loose, you learn. You stand up, and you move on.
