the day i found out i was pregnant,
i was terrified,
cos i new i only had one option.
ABORTION
i was 12
still a child myself,
i wanted you so much,
if i could of kept you i would off,
but i was to scared,
to scared to tell my parents
the day i let you go,
was the hardest day of my life,
i felt disgusting,
i felt like i had let everyone down
but i mostly let myself down,
i askk myself the question,
how could i let something so precious go?
the reason is i was young and nieve,
but you have changed me,
you made me a better person,
but i will never forget you ,
and i will never forgive myself

It would be so perfect if noone ever needed an abortion but its very sad that they do happen and it must be so hard to go through it especially when you were young

To answer your question "Why do you have strong views on abortion?" I think we all do for our own personal reasons ... there are some times when abortions are needed, medical reasons etc
You being only 12 years old is a shocking thing to me, and what is more shocking is the fact your parents weren't with you during that trying time, how on earth did you manage to pay for an abortion and organise one without a parent? It must have been a horrific thing for you to go through ... again my respect for you in posting this

I would normally look at rhythm, flow, grammar; but in this case it doesn't apply. You have written in the perfect voice and made your case with conviction and strength. WELL DONE
a side note: it's sad that these things have happened and that this wee one didn't get to be;but glad for the way you have changed and grown. I am sure, though, that any gentle soul such as this would want you to forgive yourself. Otherwise your life couldn't be as it should. Do practice to forgive yourself.
