Amor Vincit Amnia

Amor Vincit Amnia
By Becca Bishop

A frost stained window stared at me
With a smile
Gravitating a genuine, confronted,
Yet curious, style
Of what my blue eye felt
Hardly seeing the a cold pane melt
Licking the common cure
Across your face
A brush of covers tickle your vapid
Hello
And no one knows
As the cold wind shows
You’re heard
But not tasted
Oo I could never fake it
Your sillyness is preposterous
But I’d like to hit you
From behind
So you wouldn’t know
That a heart
Hurts,
lust like dessert,
it jiggles and wiggles,
there’s only one place for it,
a plate
up late again
hang-ten, before more time,
passes,
cuddle with me like a rabbit
and maybe a parenthesis
I’ll flash you.
“You love him because
No one wants you to.”
But of course I do,
Visualize a hard-hearing
Youngster,
Being basketed down
A dumpster
And jumping up
To get in
Maybe some day
A bird will fly by,
After all I’ve undone
Your fly
Maybe that’s why
I wonder,
Die, my thump thump
Fell under some dump truck
Full of a bloody surrender
And Smile, you’re under arrest
You’re too young
And too poor
For that dress.
You wonder around in
A poofy mess,
All alone in a satirical way,
Pointing to love, and hopelessness,
And a romantic entourage of endless
Spoken assumptions and prolific
Junctions never really knew
So serious with no intention
Until
You

Loved your write! It has a lot of emotion buried in it. Really liked how you have few lines containing only one word, amazing. It manages to emphasize the poem extremely well.

Has to be the best stanza according to me! Great write! God Bless!
