She is ferociously dramatic and vivid
on taut suspense of natural upheaval
while hanging on by tooth and claw
as sunset runs bloody red to flood the world
in this menstrual pause,
of cleansing, prior to the fall.
She is here in fall flutter of auburn leaves,
in Indian Paintbrush carving color in the garden.
She is there in darkening sky of summer
and in the tulle gather of an old prom dress.
She is the little old lady with a plum beret
bobbling at the brow. There she is, wings
scattering used feathers
from her cardinal point of silent brush
with death.
If only we stop to see beyond obvious,
we will see the hands that cup us
as we flush to our future.

It's a wonderfully expressive poem. I find a lot of my own personal beliefs in it. Thank You

Excellent penning, my Sister. Your depths grow ever deeper, it seems. Congratulations on your silver, Carol. 'Tis lovely, raw & profound.

I am understanding more about form life versus spirit life...this book, A New Earth, is simply working in me...it's awesome.

Beautiful in every aspect! Metaphorically, the verse is replete with vivid imagery! WE must always look the hands of nature to see and feel the presence of all types of earth angels! Thank you for entering this beautiful verse. I'm stunned at all the images or seasons. Just stop and listen. You can hear and feel all earth angels!

I have a bouquet of flowers at my console when I write...it helps me be still and lsiten, to simply look up from the keys and be present so I can write. Ty
