Contemplating the Holy Trinity
of Me, Myself and I,
licking a slick page
with despair;
split tongued, tail in mouth,
never-ending work to chuff skin-
I loosened a single thread
and unraveled, fraying
until I was exposed to light
which drew me to burn
away old appendages
and I wept sweat before I flew
