I'll never be one of you
you've made that quite clear.
I'm an outsider.
I'm different and strange.
You don't want me here
your animosity,
tells me that.
You hate me.
But I don't know why.
I'm weird and you don't understand me;
yet you wont even try.
You just leave me alone.
I'll never be one of you
then again,
if I have to change who I am
to be one of you.
Would I want to?
I may be an outsider;
I may be alone,
I may be ignored.
But at least I'm still me.
you've made that quite clear.
I'm an outsider.
I'm different and strange.
You don't want me here
your animosity,
tells me that.
You hate me.
But I don't know why.
I'm weird and you don't understand me;
yet you wont even try.
You just leave me alone.
I'll never be one of you
then again,
if I have to change who I am
to be one of you.
Would I want to?
I may be an outsider;
I may be alone,
I may be ignored.
But at least I'm still me.
Author notes
Option 4
Yeah I'm sure everyone's had a moment when they've been tempted to become someone else just to fit it. I did back in primary school; until I eventually got fed up with being dropped every time I did something different. So when they asked me if I wanted to be their friends again I said no.
Sure I was alone for ages afterwards but hell I don't regret it!

I guess you are right it's better for example to not take drugs and follow trends and to be on your own than a druggie just to be along with your friends so in many ways this applies. I got to agree with you, sometimes being yourself isn't so bad. We have to work with what we've got.

Yup it's better to be who you are than pretend to be something you're not just to fit in because then you're lying to yourself.
Thanks!
