two days past 15
she cannot wait to just be seen
your songs lures her in
a soothing voice which stole her heart
they speak and kiss
they dream and love
a swift departure is so bittersweet
he goes over-seas
to a land far away
he fights anothers war
soon to be lost away
don't leave me my love
don't leave
his youth is so pure
yet he denies her his touch
he sends those letters
one a day
her love just grows
then it stops...
the love soon gone
what happened to her prince?
a letter soon comes
her prince is back!
she rips through papers
anxiety takes over
fallen angels take over her mind
she thinks only of his life
how they loved
but now he's gone
she cried all night
never gonna hold the hand of another guy
she was too young when they told her
waitin for the love of her traveling soldier...

Thank you for entering my military contest. I really like the theme of this poem, but it doesn't seem to have a very good flow. It seems to move along kinda choppy like.

Well Written
This is so sad, and yet very beautiful. I can pick out that one place you got your insperation from was 'Traveling Soldier' by the Dixie Chicks, which is a fun yet sad song for sure. Really well written.
Good luck and God Bless
