For My Favorite Chair in the Whole Wide World!

Soft and fluffy
You always support me
and have my back.
You are
strong
and sturdy
and know me well
for your bottom curves in
just the way I like it.
You are comforting to the touch,
And always there after a long hard day.
There is nothing more that I would ever want,
Than to have my butt pushed against your warm cushion.
Thank you for being there for me!

I did enjoy this, yes but the contest required two poems a pre-write and a fresh write, you have just the one poem so I have to stick at having enjoyed it.

    Thank-you for this one though

Do I really need to comment on this? I did already in school! I thought it was cute and sweet. and oh so comfortable

I'm noticing a certain trend. I know that they're mostly contest prompts, but I'm beginning to notice this happiness and lightheartedness in your poetry. Told you you don't need a class to teach you. It has to come naturally! Keep up the great work!

    hehe. It's Alex!

PS: That's nothing to laugh about! Stupid Carli!

I like how, not knowing about the prompt, a reader could get through most of the poem thinking you're talking about a person. Well done.

Ha -- loved this. I have a chair, favorite, that was my grandmother's. My father remembers it from his boyhood. It is probably 70yrs at least. I have dragged it around with me since I was 18!

You were indeed hyper! But I loved it. And I know what you mean, I recently and foolhardily bought a new chair and now I have to suffer the wrath of a less comfortable one.
