Many Roads Await

Many links extended, t[r]end outwards into light,
As rainbow drops descended dispense due dew delight.
New roads must be defended to stimulate, rewrite
Years starting, for years ended show slight reflection bright.
Right, wrong, misapprehended, are neither black nor white,
Out and inside when [bl]ended, intolerance indict.
As wheels turn, Time, suspended, prepares for further flight,
Dream theme streams are intended to startle, day and night.
Spread is each page portended as message to incite
All walls to fall, bridge mended, ways narrow dynamite
With fervour unpretended so men worldwide unite.
All roads to Rome, befriended, help ease poor people's plight
Imply toil, tears expended gain better world in sight.
Tomorrow's tracks extended just future must invite.

Very well written. The message comes through first in the title and flows through the poem. Great message delivered. Congratulations!

  • Lovely internal rhyme scheme in this poem and the meaning should be a well learned lesson for all men to head ... There are indeed many roads we can take and they all lead somewhere and its up to each of us to make them count.

Nice acrostic. I think the thing with acrostic poems is that they have to be very subtle, and not jump right out there and bite you on the nose. This one blends the first letters into the poem very wel. The only thing I think I would change, is the background, since the writing gets lost in it. And really, what's more important, pretty pictures in the background or having the reader being able to really read the words easily? I like your use of the [] punctuation, it adds an interesting element to the poem, which causes the reader to go back and reread some of the lines to get it's double secret meaning. I'm amazed you were able to find so many words that rhyme with each other, but since you did, it really brings the poem together as a whole.

Beautiful write... The depth of your writing is that which allows us (as readers) to escape momentarily from the weight of life and transcend in to a world governed by the pen. Beautiful alliteration, phenominal word choice...most impressive!

    Outstanding

The rhyme scheme is impressive and this must have been nearly impossible to do. A strong poem with great flow and detail. Fantastic to read. A true gem.
