Trapped in the chains of the abuser

For years shutting down that place I had inside me
Dieing
blocking the rage I had inside for you
wanting answers but was afraid to ask the questions
looking at you straight in the eyes, crying for you to stop
But you did it anyway!!!!

You hid behind a dual personality
To everyone else you were the perfect dad
To me you were my pain
I don’t know what kept me going
because I looked you in the eyes and cried for you to stop
But you did it anyway!!!!!!


Freedom for the abused

To ask for help is not the coward’s way out
If you cut you stay a victim
To heal all you need to do is cry and talk
No one can ever take away the strength you have inside
I know you have it
I know that with the dreams there comes a nightmare
Just don’t stay in the dark
I was there once too
But you can heal
All you have to do is want to

Become a survivor, not the victim


Freed from the chains of the abuser

Well now you will listen to me

You can hurt me,
you can try to break me
you can watch the tears fall
deny me my rightful place
