I think you are rather shady.
Man I got to leave my pad in California,
but I am here to inform ya.
Those dogs better watch it because this is my corner.
And my name is not Little Jack Horner.
What I have to stay in my Kitty carry-all.
While the dogs run up and down the hall.
It does not matter to me if they were there first.
I will bat them in a blink of an eye where it hurts.
My mama says that I am the cat that rules the roost.
So I might just get out my doggy kicking boots.
What I have to behave myself?
You will put my mouse toys on the shelf?
Hey now you can't read my rights.
Because my mom and I are sitting tight.
One dog is a Saint Bernard?
Intimidating him is going to be hard.
Author notes
My minister and his wife have two dogs. Elvis is big as St. Bernard and Latte a German shepherd type. Her mother is moving in because she can't stay alone and she is bringing her two cats. I image the cats will try to intimidate the dogs.

Great stuff!!!
A fun write that made me smile...
I have 2 cats myself & I regularly see them marching up & down the back fence, winding up the neighbour's dogs.
I really enjoyed this write, another great piece you have here...
Well done!!!

Hahaah, that was brilliant. Great imagery here too. I can just imagine the cats trying to intimidate those dogs. I agree that you have talent. Keep writing.

Superb
A very fine write indeed. Just the right whimsical touch. You are quite a talented writer. I hope you contribute to AP for many years. -
giggling, so much fun in this poem.
I sure hope he thought twice about that St.Bernard,
written so wisely from the cat's point of view, we couldn't help but giggle and laugh to enjoy this
well written poem!
Probably why my cat sneers at us when we go bye-bye with
the dogs.
ears/Seattle. well written! clever.

Pretty Good
Pretty good rhyme.
Hopefully the dogs won't eat the cats.

I really like this story, great take on the prompt indeed. Best of luck in the contest. I can imagine there is going to be fun and games in your minister's household whilst the dogs and gets settle themselves. I reckon there will be a few hisses and swipes in the direction of the dogs

Cute little tale you tell in these lines. Will be quite the place when all of these animals and people get together. Could be a few scratches here and there.

I bet they do!! Our cat is the Queen!! This is a great take on the prompt. Thanks for entering and good luck!

Just a quick pointer:
TO: usually a preposition ("I went to the store") or part of an infinitive verb ("he wanted to dance").
TOO: of an excessive quantity ("she ate too much").
TWO: the number.

PS: St. Bernards are awesome.
