Time Gone Before Us

Well my friends, I am glad to be back writing.
It’s been to long a time since I have done any poetry.
I have just been pursuing other interests,
But I always come back to my writing, because it sets me free.
I just want to share with you a little story.
About a time long ago and full of mirth and
glory.
We can’t relive the past it’s so true, but in our memories, we can go back a day , a week, or even a lifetime.
It’s fun to sit and romance, about the old d days . gone but but not forgretten.
Of old pals, and lovers, even, just don’t dwell.
Leave those things that happened in the past, in the past.
That’s where they belong. You can’t relive it,
Though try as hard as you like .
The only thing you will do is to make a monkey out of you.
So you see my dear, dear friends, that it is all up to you.
So make every effort to be in good spirits most of every day.
And take a ray of sunshine wherever you go each day.
