Baby Ben Ben

Silly Ben Ben what's to become of thee,
hiding from flies while biting at bees.
Balls and balloons really drive you crazy,
some good ol Prozac would help maybe.
You have no desire for canines named she,
you'd much sooner watch Funniest Pets TV.
You don't play with toys it's a rare oddity,
I have no excuses for pet shopping sprees.
Your barks are few and our home is poo free,
we prayed for a dog but got a human baby.
You're black as oil with eyes we can't see,
but sweet as a strawberry and cute as a pea.

    Hood-Wink!

An absolute brilliant piece of visual imagery you have penned here...I have four little ones myself and they are just the most wonderful friends to me, I love sharing my life with them...

This poem speaks with volumes of love and great expression for a pet...engaging, fresh, humorous and a pleasure to read...congratulations on the silver

You have been ambushed by a Poetic Bandit

    Much love...

This is such a cute poem to go with the picture. I loved reading it and the border you used is wonderful. Such a cute puppy!!! Thanks for posting.

This is an awfully sophisticated yet whimsical background, (I love the dog's snout sticking out of the border!) and matches you poem very well. Please list your artwork sources in your author's notes. Thanks!
