The Warm Metallic Flavour Fills My Mouth
As The World Around Me Begins To Fall
I Can Hear Their Screams, Helpless Pleas
Lost In The Fire And Explosions
Blinking Away Blood And Tears
Black Stars Dance Along My Vision
My Fight For Conciousness Slipping
As Seconds Pass, I Pray To God
May He Have Mercy On My Soul
So I May Be Reunited With My Family
And Find Peace In The Kingdom Of God
As I End My Silent Prayer
Another Explosion Shakes The Foundation
More Debris Crashes Down Upon Me
Fresh Pain Explodes As I Scream
My Final Scream To End The Suffering
Pale And Beautiful, I see The Light
Despite All The Pain And Tears,
I Smile ♥

Oh my gosh, the reality of this is almost scary. I can't believe what a great job you did on this. Amazing! You will for sure win the contest. No doubt about that!

Your descriptions make it seem as if I am there. You did a great job capturing the emotions of someone who might have been there. It's so sad yet a beautiful poem none the less.
