Sitting in a chair
Broken down old man
Very little hair
His ending has began
He's taken by the hand
Down some twisty turny roads
Towards the promised land
While the wilderness explodes
A castle is in sight
Atop it his dead wife
Is he high as a kite?
Or is this the afterlife?
He approaches the door
Knocks on it twice
It's opened by a whore
And her two pet mice
"It's the end of the ride"
The mice say with glee
The man steps inside
His guide turns to flee
"Wait! Where are you going?"
"My part here is done"
An blue flash starts glowing
And the man's guide was gone
He races upstairs
Away from the mice
Past small walking chairs
And huge rolling dice
And who's that he can see
Sat there by there door
His wife? It can't be!
She's dead ten years or more!
He runs to his wife
His arms open wide
Best day of his life
So happy inside
But she wasn't there
And he shakes to his core
Back alone in his chair
And his life is no more

Very interesting. Thank you for entering.

Very imaginative write!
A strange mix of twilight zone and Alice in Wonderland!
Not fond of all caps, it tends to break the flow...
and a couple other small things I'd fix...but all in all this is what I wanted for this contest!
Thanks for entering...
Write on and on!
*PEACE*
