As I watch the sky
meander down
the rhythmical path
led by sound
behind the disguise,
beyond fear
bassline cracks
shaking masks
off to look who's here!
Maracas in candlelight,
depth of night
deep into my soul,
breaks over walls
based on mechanical.
Powers that hear
earth-felt goals,
split thunder.

Wow, I really like the imagery in this. Lyrics about silence... very nice. "split thunder" is very impactful. Also, loved the maracas reference. Nice job. thanks for entering.

Are you writing about the coming Apocalypse? I daresay that a giant block of cheese is going to fall on us come election time. Which is sad, because I like cheese. Cheese should be mandated as the international food group, I think. Ok, I'm really just writing a lot so I can get the points, but I did enjoy your poem. The title is a little ironic and fitting.
