I read it as the title of a book;
the book of her life.
On first glance it seemed sexy
and suggestive, like a fine golden
stencil upon a sheet of ruby satin,
encasing the truths of passion.
Then, after a few minutes
of observing the word,
it appeared intriguing and
somewhat mysterious,
resembling the first fleck of
fresh paint upon a blank canvas.
But, as I started to pull apart
every letter,
as if each all had its own value
and meaning to express,
it seemed tiresome and lonely;
not at all sensual or allusive.
It aired more qualities of an
incurable infection which
I presumed would lurk
between the lines of every other
word in the pages of the book.
One word; one impression,
made me put down her book
before even lifting the first crisp,
hand- made page between my fingers.
And I left it, there, to gather dust,
amongst my presumptions and
surrounded by its own connotations.

wonderful description. interesting, unique choice of portraying topic in almost literal sense; "never judge a book by its cover"

all because of one word."
This is wonderful. Never judge a book by its cover. The best way to put it, has just been discovered. This piece is captivating and amazing. Well written, good flow and structure. Smooth like wet plastic. I was pulled in and then totally amazed. Good work.
