The knight in purple armour

It's sunset
And the knight in purple armour
Has me under his enchantment
As we stand together by the fire
Underneath the falling stars
Showering down from heaven

It's sunset
And I listen to the sweet music
Threading like magic through the air
As we stand together by the fire
Holding hands and each other's gaze
Sharing an eternal kiss

It's sunset
And the night's dance begins
We listen and watch in silence
As we stand together by the fire
Catching the words of that song
Learning the world's secrets

It's sunrise
And the knight in purple armour
Has disappeared like the stars
As I stand alone by the fire
Lost inside my falling tears
Showering down from heaven

I just don't know what to say about this piece,
    I just loved it.

I love repetition and I loved that you started the first three stanzas with, "It's sunset"

And then the final stanza with, "It's sunrise"

    A great ending.
    Thank you for your entry!

    Absolutely breath-taking in it's beauty
This flows so nicely down the page it is as if nothing is going on around me I am captured by the feeling and imagery in this

    Best of luck

Thanks. I generally write with form and/or rhyme, even for word banks, but I wanted to do something different this time. I was inspired by the layout of the actual wordbank in the contest I wrote this for - they put purple and armour next to each other, and bam, this flowed straight out!
